Tanya Baycheva

Tanya Baycheva is a researcher at the Chair of Forest and Environmental Policy Group at Albert-Ludwig University Freiburg (Germany). She holds a MSc. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Cologne (Germany) and a BSc. in Environmental and Resource Management from the Technical University of Bradenburg (BTU), Cottbus (Germany). Her main research interests are forest/environmental policies, instruments and institutions, forest information and data needs, criteria and indicators for sustainable forest management.
Current Projects:
· Distributed, integrated and harmonized forest information for bioeconomy outlooks (DIABOLO)
· Future-oriented integrated management of European Forest Landscapes (INTEGRAL)
Before joining the University of Freiburg, Tanya worked as a researcher at the European Forest Institute (EFI) and as a consultant at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
